Vision Mechanics is seeking to appoint three new Directors to join our Board.

We are a theatre company based in Leith. We create visually stimulating work in unconventional spaces, using performance and technology to engage our audiences with their surroundings. Our work includes cross-artform touring productions, environmental arts projects and large-scale community participation events. We are committed to taking our projects and productions to more geographically or socially isolated areas.

Our Board Members are responsible for supporting management to achieve the Company’s objectives and for overseeing the activities of the organisation. We are a dynamic, flexible organisation, always keen to engage with a variety of collaborators and with new audiences.
We are looking for new Board members with a knowledge of and interest in the arts though you don’t need to be an arts practitioner or professional, nor do we require that you have previous experience of serving on a Board. The positions are unremunerated though reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. Our Board meets approximately four times each year.
