Vision Mechanics is delighted to be collaborating with Nordland Visual Theatre to take our Big Man Walking to the 2014 Stamsund Theatre Festival, one of the largest performing arts festivals in Norway and a showcase event for performers from all over the world.

Stamsund is a small fishing village in the north of Norway, above the Artic Circle. Our Big Man will be taking to the streets of Stamsund to open the Festival on 27 May and before that he will visit Leknes, the administrative centre of the Vestvagoy region, on 24 May, when he’ll take a stroll through the town and meet some local people.

Before he goes on his walks, Vision Mechanics’ team, Symon Macintyre and Kim Bergsagel, will spend time in Norway training local puppeteers to operate the Big Man.
